GCAS Signs Contract for New Audit Software

[Silver Spring, MD, September 13, 2010] GCAS entered into a contract with industry leader CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business, to purchase an integrated suite of audit software applications. This new audit software is designed to ensure that all audit engagements comply with the latest professional standards while streamlining the audit process by making it both efficient and effective. Moving to the CCH platform matches the strategic direction of GCAS to implement a paperless audit process.

The CCH suite of software applications includes:

  • ProSystem fx Engagement – which provides the platform to implement paperless audit engagements. The software streamlines the processes at all stages of an engagement, with integrated workflow features for project tracking, reporting, review and sign-off, and archiving.
  • ProSystem fx Knowledge Coach – which was developed from the ground up by auditors, for auditors, combines the industry-specific content and guidance with a dynamic audit workflow engine that streamlines the audit planning process, and helps to efficiently manage an audit engagement from beginning to end.
  • ProSystem fx Portal – which is a convenient electronic storage space where files can be effortlessly uploaded, downloaded and/or stored, while maximizing the security of sensitive information. This will make it easy to securely deliver and receive client documents, facilitating collaboration and supporting the upload of even the largest files.
  • ProSystem fx Practice – which facilitates the management of business intelligence and provides in real time powerful key indicators to easily identify and assess critical client and staff information without the need to run reports.
  • ProSystem fx Workstream – which supports and simplifies proactive management of the organization by providing tools such as automatic notifications of project status, including milestone dates, as well as budget to actual analysis.

Within the next few weeks a GCAS team will begin formal training with the CCH Best Practices Team. This training will conclude in the development of an operational manual for use in implementing the CCH platform. GCAS expects to begin training of its personnel in June 2011, based on a schedule which would result in full implementation globally by January 2013. However, the ProSystem fx Portal will be operational by the end of 2010. GCAS will be communicating to each of its clients the availability of this secure tool for use in audit preparation and collaboration with the audit engagement team
