[Silver Spring, MD, January 15, 2009] GCAS is pleased to announce the launch of their new website (www.gcasconnect.org). The website provides GCAS with an internet presence which in the course of time is envisioned to be the preferred portal for church financial personnel to access resource materials and church members to access general information.
The website was designed to provide a gateway for both auditors and clients to connect with professional resources and back office tools. In the ensuing months GCAS plans to add more content and features that will enhance the online experience.
In launching the website, Paul Douglas, the GCAS Director, commented that "this online presence is long overdue and will be a tremendous tool for increasing the visibility of the audit function and communicating our value to the stakeholders of the Seventh-day Adventist Church."
Since 1977, GCAS has been organized by the Seventh-day Adventist Church to perform structurally independent financial audits, reviews of trust operations, and tests of policy compliance for more than 2700 denominational organizations worldwide that have an estimated asset base of US$20 billion. With a team of approximately 200 highly qualified professionals operating from offices in 45 countries, GCAS is positioned to deliver audits of the highest quality at the best economical value.
